Tiramisù alle Fragole

Ingredients:

For the strawberry layer:

  • Fresh strawberries – 300g (about 2 cups), washed and hulled

  • Sugar – 3-4 tablespoons (depending on the sweetness of your strawberries)

  • Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon (optional, to enhance the flavor)

For the mascarpone cream:

  • Mascarpone cheese – 250g (about 1 cup)

  • Heavy cream – 200ml (1 cup), chilled

  • Powdered sugar – 2-3 tablespoons (to taste)

  • Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon

For the layers:

  • Savoiardi (ladyfingers) – 200g (you can also use sponge cake if you prefer)

  • Fresh strawberry juice – From the strawberries (or you can mix with a little water and a splash of liqueur like limoncello or strawberry liqueur if you like)

Garnish:

  • Fresh strawberries – Sliced, for decoration

  • Mint leaves – Optional, for garnish
